Sailing Competes At Two Regattas On The Thames

SATURDAY'S FULL RESULTS

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College coed sailing program competed in two regattas on the Thames River over the weekend.
 
On Friday, the Camels sailed against Stanford. The Cardinal produced the top two finishers, while the hosts had boats finish third through seventh. Freshman Andrews Powers (Rye, N.Y.) and sophomore Allie Tillinghast (New York, N.Y.) comprised the top pair for the Camels.
 
One day later, Connecticut College raced again against Stanford along with six additional schools for the Thompson Trophy being hosted by Coast Guard. Led by the boat consisting of sophomore Ali Moffet (Jamestown, R.I.) and senior Charlotte Williams (Cambridge, Mass.), the Camels placed 16th, 17th, and 18th among 18 competing pairs.
 
Connecticut College is slated to compete at the NEISA Championships next weekend. The women's fleet racing championships will take place on Saturday and the coed championships occur a day later.
