NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing program finished seventh among seven schools at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Team Racing Championships on Sunday.
The Camels posted a 1-11 ledger in their races against the top competition in the region. Freshmen
Andrew Powers (Rye, N.Y.) and
Anna Olsen (Falmouth, Maine), sophomores
Allie Tillinghast (New York, N.Y.) and
Aili Moffet (Jamestown, R.I.), junior
Alexandra Wagner (Southport, Conn.), and senior
Charlotte Williams (Cambridge, Mass.) all contributed to the win in the second round over Roger Williams.
"We were excited to make progress over the course of the season, and we had some good races today," said head coach
Jeff Bresnahan. "We are also coming together as a team which has been great to see. I would also like to say congratulations to Charlotte for a great day, season, and sailing career here at Conn."
Connecticut College will send a select group of athletes to compete at the singlehanded championships next weekend.
