NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Connecticut College coed sailing team wrapped up its Fall schedule at Coast Guard over the weekend. The Camels placed 12th out of 18 scoring teams in the two-day event for the Schell Trophy.

The duo of Tommy Whittemore (West Hartford, Conn.) and Allie Tillinghast (New York, N.Y.) most notably gave the Camels a boost by placing ninth in the B division with 124 points. The pair finished strong, placing in the top-five in two of the final three races on Sunday.

The Connecticut College women's team also hosted a home event with six other competing schools. The Camels raced three separate squads and the "Camels 3" team placed fifth overall.

Both sailing teams will break for the winter and return to action in Spring 2023.
