NEW LONDON, Conn. – Four Connecticut College swimmers have been selected to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on March 15-18 in Greensboro, N.C.

Sophomore Justin Finkel (Cheshire, Conn.) and seniors Marc Stern (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Mitchell Lockwood (Winchester, Mass.) and Tadeusz Trzewik-Quinn (New Paltz, N.Y.) will represent the Camels in the 800 freestyle relay. Finkel also qualified in the 200 and 500 free and the 200 butterfly.

All but Finkel will be making their NCAA debut. The group most recently finished third in the 800 free relay at last weekend's NESCAC Championship. Their time of 6:39.82, in addition to earning them All-NESCAC honors, ranked as the 13th-fastest in the country this season.

Finkel is coming off a dominant weekend in which he won three individual titles, set two meet records and was named NESCAC Swimmer of the Year. He owns the fastest time in the country in the 200 fly (1:45.31) and ranks second in the 200 free (1:36.49) and fifth in the 500 free (4:25.90). He also holds the school record in all three events.

A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the regional diving meets February 24-25.

The NCAA Championships will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Tickets can be purchased in advance, and NCAA.com will video stream all sessions of the four-day championships.
