ORLANDO, Fla. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision against Aquinas College (Mich.) on Tuesday morning at Red Bug Lake Park.
The Saints opened the match with doubles victories at the top two positions.
Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) and
James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) provided Conn's lone doubles victory, prevailing 8-6 at the No. 3 spot. It marked the third straight win for the duo, which improved to 4-1 on the year.
The Camels picked up a pair of wins in singles thanks to strong efforts by
Gavin Anderson (Avon, Conn.) and
Andy Feldman (Newton, Mass.). Both won in straight sets, with Anderson topping Mariano Arroyo (6-1, 6-3) at No. 4 and Feldman besting Jackson VanBergen (6-1, 7-5) at No. 6.
Both Serhant and Mulligan split sets in their singles matches but lost in a tiebreaker.
Conn College (1-4 overall) will next face SUNY Oneonta on Thursday, March 16 at 12:30 p.m.
