Men's Tennis Falls 7-2 at Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Trinity College on Saturday afternoon at the Assaiante Tennis Center.

The Camels picked up a point in doubles to start the day and added another in singles. Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) had a hand in both points, teaming with James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) to win at No. 2 doubles before posting a straight-sets victory at No. 5 singles.

Mulligan and Serhant cruised to an 8-3 victory over Pierce Rutledge and Jack Ginter to get the Camels on the scoreboard. The duo improved to 8-4 on the season, the most wins by any Conn doubles squad.

Mulligan carried the momentum into his singles match against Brandon Felcher. He took the opening set by a 6-4 tally before wrapping things up with a 6-2 final in the second.
Trinity won the remaining five singles contests in straight sets. 

Conn College (4-8 overall, 0-6 NESCAC) returns to action at Bates College on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m.
