LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Connecticut College men's ice hockey alum Keith Veronesi '14 is officially a Stanley Cup champion.

Veronesi, a member of the front office staff for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL), hoisted the Stanley Cup trophy following the Golden Knights' 9-3 victory over the Florida Panthers in game five of the NHL Finals on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena.

The Golden Knights won the series 4-1 to capture the franchise's first NHL title after coming into the league as an expansion team in 2017. Vegas overcame the Winnipeg Jets, the Edmonton Oilers, the Dallas Stars, and the Panthers in this year's playoffs to cap off a 51-win regular season. The Golden Knights previously reached the Stanley Cup finals in their inaugural season.

Veronesi played for the Camels from 2010-14 and served as a team captain during his senior year. He graduated from Conn with a Bachelor's degree in sociology and american studies.

Following graduation, Veronesi spent the next two years working for the Utica Comets, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. In 2016, Veronesi took a hockey operations position with the Golden Knights in preparation for the team's NHL debut. He was promoted to Director of Scouting Operations in 2021 and has served in that role for the past several years.
