NORTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's swimming and diving team earned a split in a tri-meet with Wheaton College and Babson College on Saturday afternoon at Balfour Natatorium.

The Camels picked up a win over the Beavers by a 241.5-46.5 tally, but lost to the host Lyons by a 165-129 final. Conn took first place in five events on the day as three swimmers posted individual wins.

Rosemary Bonadies (Nashville, Tenn.) and Hope Lane (Swarthmore, Pa.) each won a pair of races to fuel the Camels, who improved to 3-2 on the season in head-to-head competition. Kate Edison (Westford, Mass.) also nabbed a win on the afternoon as Conn returned to the pool following a lengthy winter break.

In the third event of the meet, Conn turned in a dominating performance in the 200 free. Lane posted the fastest time (1:59.74) but had Marie-Eve Hebert (Princeton, N.J.) and Stephanie Shawaryn (Moorestown, N.J.) right behind her to round out the top-3.

Bonadies kept the momentum going with a first-place effort in the 50 back (27.40). Edison followed with a win in the 100 fly (59.12), and the Camels were off to a good start after the first six events.

Bonadies and Lane both picked up second victories later in the meet. Bonadies took top honors in the 100 back (59.83) while Lane cruised to a win in the 500 free (5:22.17).

Conn's two relay squads both posted runner-up finishes on the day. The team of Bonadies, Ella Behling (Brookfield, Conn.), Cassie Toler (League City, Texas) and Jada Keen (Kealakekua, Hawaii) competed in the 200 medley relay (1:50.37) while Shawaryn, Edison, Kailin Fuller (Bowdoinham, Maine) and Lane closed out the meet in the 400 free relay (3:39.34).

Conn will next compete at Colby College on Monday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m.
