Men's Tennis Splits With Amherst, Nichols

DUDLEY, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team split a pair of matches against Amherst College and Nichols College on Saturday at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

Conn opened the day with a morning match against the Mammoths, falling by a 7-0 final. The Camels then bounced back to post a 4-3 victory over the Bison in the afternoon.

The match against Nichols got off to a good start, as Conn took the lone doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 2 spots. The duo of Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) and Nikhil Agarwal (San Mateo, Calif.) won 7-5 at the top position while Wolf Sohlberg (Espoo, Finland) and Jules Taylor-Kerman (New York, N.Y.) posted a 6-3 victory at No. 2.

The Camels clinched the match with wins at No. 1, 3 and 6 singles. Both Agarwal and Walker rallied back from a first-set loss to win in three, and Arjun Premkumar (Bangalore, India) sewed up the final point with a straight-sets win at the top spot.

Having completed their fall slate, the Camels will return to action in the spring season.
