Sailing Hosts Open Atlantic Coast Tournament

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing team returned to action over the weekend, hosting the Open Atlantic Coast Tournament at Kohn Waterfront.

At the Atlantic Coast Tournament, Conn placed 14th out of 18 teams, compiling 296 points across two racing divisions. In the A division boat, Henry Scholz (Lake Forest, Ill.) and Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.) split the skipper duties, with Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.), Aurora Kreyche (Seattle, Wash.), and Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) rounded out the crew, scoring 157 points. William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.) skippered the B division boat, while Alejandro Amezcua (New Rochelle, N.Y.) joined the crew, totaling 145 points.

Conn wraps up the fall slate of the schedule next weekend, traveling to Yale and Brown to compete.
