NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing team wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule, competing at the Women's Urn Trophy hosted by Brown and the Schell Trophy NEISA Open Championship at Yale.
At the Women's Urn Trophy, Conn placed 13th out of 17 teams, scoring 312 points across two boats. In the A boat, Lily Saffer (Rye, N.Y.) and Natalie Fear (New York, N.Y.) split the skipper duties, with Cecilia Roe (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and Maddie Jarbeau (East Greenwich, R.I.) rounding out the crew, totaling 189 points. The B division boat was skippered by Izzy Wu-Karr (Baltimore, Md.) with Aurora Kreyche (Seattle, Wash.) her partner, tallying 123 points, including a win in the 12th race.
At the Schell Trophy, Conn finished 13th out of 18 teams with 295 points across two boats. In the A division boat, Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.) skippered the boat, with Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.), Liam Gronda (Chevy Chase, Md.), and Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) splitting the duties for the rest of the crew, compiling 140 points. In the B boat, Henry Scholz (Lake Forest, Ill.) and William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.) split the skippering duties, with Alejandro Amezcua (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.), and Carragher rounding out the crew, scoring 155 points.
Conn will be off for the winter, before returning to action the first weekend of March.
