MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Connecticut College women's swimming and diving team finished in 10th place after Sunday's final session at the 2024 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at Middlebury College's Natatorium.
The Camels ended the four-day event with a team score of 531. Williams captured the overall team title while Tufts University finished as runner-up.
The Camels put seven individuals and two relay teams in the water during Sunday night's finals.
Jenna Charlat (Bedford, N.H.) and
Keira Haas (Berwyn, Pa.) each took part in consolation finals, and both improved upon their times from the morning preliminary heats. Charlat tied for 11th in the 200 back (2:05.15) while Haas finished 12th in the 100 free (52.74).
A total of three Camels earned points in the 1,650 free.
Claire Hoffmann (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) paced the group with a time of 18:02.79 to finish 17th, and
Hannah Guay (Wakefield, Mass.) and
Lily Werges (Canandaigua, N.Y.) placed 21st and 24th, respectively, with times of 18:11.52 and 18:20.49.
The final event of the championship was the 400 free relay, and Conn's top squad of
Hope Lane (Swarthmore, Pa.),
Kailin Fuller (Bowdoinham, Maine), Haas and
Kate Edison (Westford, Mass.) finished in eighth place with a time of 3:32.01.
Conn will next compete at the NESCAC Invite on Sunday, February 25 at Colby College.
