CLINTON, N.Y. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team fell by an 8-1 final against Hamilton College on Saturday morning at the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
The Camels started the day by taking a point in doubles play, but the Continentals went on to capture all six singles matches to sew up the win. Hamilton improved to 7-7 overall (1-5 NESCAC) with the victory.
Conn's doubles win came at the No. 3 spot where
Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) and
James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) disposed of Coby Feldman and Charlie Sternberg by an 8-6 tally. The duo improved to 6-5 on the year and 15-12 over the past two.
In singles action, both Mulligan and
Gavin Anderson (Avon, Conn.) took their matches into a third set. The former lost to Feldman at No. 4, and the latter dropped a third-set tiebreaker to Sternberg at No. 6.
Conn (8-6 overall, 1-6 NESCAC) will next host Tufts University on Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m.
