NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team lost a 9-0 decision to No. 10 Tufts University on Saturday afternoon at Luce Field House.

In doubles action, the Jumbos (11-5 overall, 6-2 NESCAC) held off threats at the top two spots en route to an early 3-0 lead. Tufts then went on to win all six singles matches, with all but one coming in straight sets.

The doubles team of Aaron Fleishman (Brookline, Mass.) and Sigmund Winiecki (Jaffrey, N.H.) tested Lachie Macintosh and Derin Acaroglu at the No. spot, but fell by an 8-5 final. Things were even closer at No. 2, where Jared Leong (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) and Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) were clipped in a tiebreaker by Corey Marley and Sacha Maes.

Leong was the lone Camel to push his match to three sets before falling to Garv Bahl at the No. 3 spot. Leong captured the opening set by a 6-2 tally before Bahl rebounded to win the next two by 6-2, 6-0 counts.

Conn (8-7 overall, 1-7 NESCAC) will next play at Coast Guard Academy on Monday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m.
