NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team lost a 9-0 decision against No. 11 Middlebury College on Sunday afternoon at the CC Tennis Courts.
The Camels put up a tough fight at No. 1 doubles to start the match. The duo of
Jared Leong (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) and
Aaron Fleishman (Brookline, Mass.) battled against Aidan Harris and Noah Laber, eventually falling by an 8-5 final.
Middlebury (10-3 overall, 3-1 NESCAC) won all six singles matches in straight sets. Leong took four games off Noah Lewis in the opening set at No. 3 but couldn't rally in the second.
Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) lost by finals of 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4, and
Sigmund Winiecki (Jaffrey, N.H.) won three games in each set in a loss at No. 5.
Conn (8-5 overall, 1-5 NESCAC) will next play at Hamilton College on Saturday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m.
