NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to No. 8 Middlebury College on Sunday morning in NESCAC action at the CC Tennis Courts.
In doubles, the Camels tested the Panthers in a pair of matches. The duo of
Courtney Banks (North Haven, Conn.) and
Maya Kowalska (Feasterville-Trevose, Pa.) took four games off Claudia Miller and Gena Huang at No. 2, while
Mary Ella Prendergast (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) and
Sana Bhat (New Delhi) fought hard in an 8-6 setback against Lulu Wu and Nina Farhat at No. 3.
Middlebury (6-3 overall, 4-0 NESCAC) completed the day with a sweep of singles, winning all six matches in straight sets.
Conn (6-7 overall, 0-5 NESCAC) will next play at Hamilton College on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m.
