NORTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's swimming and diving team picked up a 144-135 victory over Wheaton College on Friday night at Balfour Natatorium.
Conn's depth was key in the win. The Camels, who had six swimmers turn in first-place finishes, consistently racked up points down the order.
Chloe Frandsen (Germantown, Tenn.) got the Camels started on the right foot, winning the 1,000 free (10:53.25) by almost five seconds. Three events later,
Campbell Baumgartner (Charlotte, N.C.) was first to the wall in the 100 breast (1:08.71).
Conn closed the meet strong with wins in the final four individual swimming events.
Ella Behling (Brookfield, Conn.) kicked off the stretch with a strong effort in the 200 breast (2:29.81), and
Kate Edison (Westford, Mass.) followed suit in the 500 free (5:22.87).
Tessa Gordon (Cottage Grove, Wis.) then out-touched a teammate to win the 100 fly (1:00.42), and
Hannah Guay (Wakefield, Mass.) helped cement the win by taking the 200 IM (2:13.78).
Conn will next host Wesleyan University on Saturday, February 1 at 1:00 p.m.
