Sailing Finishes Third at Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing teams returned to action racing at the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament hosted by Harvard and the Captain Hurst Bowl hosted by Dartmouth.

At the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament, Conn finished third out of 16 boats across two racing divisions, scoring 161 points. The A Division boat featured Natalie Fear (New York, N.Y.), Sienna Young (Westport, Conn.), and Maddie Jarbeau (East Greenwich, R.I.), who finished fourth in the division, highlighted by winning race 10. Julia Scipione (Hingham, Mass.), Alex Daigle (East Falmouth, Mass.), and June Roe (New Rochelle, N.Y.) combined to race in the B division boat, finishing fifth, which was also highlighted by a win in race 11.

At the Captain Hurst Bowl, Conn finished 11th out of 14 teams across two racing divisions. Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.) and Madeline Synnestvedt (Cohasset, Mass.) teamed up in the A division boat, scoring 63 points. The B division boat featured William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.), Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.), and Sophia Rey (Newport, R.I.), who scored 65 points.

Conn returns to action next weekend for two regattas, racing at Yale and at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
