NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing teams returned to action racing at the Open Atlantic Coast Tournament Finals hosted by St. Mary's (Md.) and the Yale Women's Interconference.
At the Open Atlantic Coast Tournament Finals hosted by St. Mary's, Conn finished 10th scoring 256 points. The A division boat finished seventh with 118 points, featuring Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.), Henry Scholz (Lake Forest, Ill.), and Vivian Smith (Hasting-on-Hudson, N.Y.), highlighted by a win in race six. The B division boat featured William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.), Madeline Synnestvedt (Cohasset, Mass.), and Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.), scoring 138 points, highlighted by a second and third place finish.
At the Yale Women's Interconference, Conn finished 15th out of 18 teams scoring 281 points across two racing divisions. Lily Saffer (Rye, N.Y.), Natalie Fear (New York, N.Y.), Maddie Jarbeau (East Greenwich, R.I.), and Sienna Young (Westport, Conn.) teamed up in the A division boat scoring 161 points. The b division boat scored 120 points with Julia Scipione (Hingham, Mass.) and Alex Daigle (East Falmouth, Mass.) racing together.
Conn closes out the fall schedule of competition next weekend, as the Camels travel to Cambridge, Mass. for two regattas.
