Camels Finish Ninth at NESCAC Championship

WATERVILLE, Maine – Connecticut College finished in ninth place following Sunday night's final session at the 2025 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at Colby College's Aquatic Center.

The Camels completed the four-day competition with 527 points. Five individual swimmers and two relay squads contributed to the point total on Sunday.   

Three swimmers competed in consolation finals on the night. Jenna Charlat (Bedford, N.H.) wrapped up a strong weekend with an 11th-place finish in the 200 back in 2:06.09, and Emma Lent (Acton, Mass.) placed 14th in the 200 breast with a season-best time of 2:26.50. Hope Lane (Swarthmore, Pa.) rounded out the group with a 15th-place showing in the 100 free and touched the wall in 53.02.

Ella Behling (Brookfield, Conn.) and Kailin Fuller (Bowdoinham, Maine) also took part in pre-consolation finals. Both recorded 23rd-place finishes, with Behling taking part in the 200 breast (2:27.63) and Fuller in the 100 free (53.50).

Earlier in the day the Camels had several swimmers take part in the 1,650 free, and five ended up in the scoring column. Claire Hoffmann (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) paced the group and finished 12th overall with a time of 17:42.32, and Chloe Frandsen (Germantown, Tenn.) was close behind in 17th at 17:55.78. Hannah Guay (Wakefield, Mass.), Lily Werges (Canandaigua, N.Y.) and Kate Doucette (State College, Pa.) placed 22nd through 24th, giving Conn a total of 30 points in the event. 

Conn's 400 free relay teams finished ninth (A) and seventh (B) in the final event of the championship. 

The Camels had a total of 16 swimmers contribute points in individual events over the long weekend. Charlat, Guay, Hoffmann and Morganne Young (Longwood, Fla.) all scored in three events. Charlat led Conn with 48 points for the championship and also competed in the two medley relays.

Williams took home the team title with a score of 1831, holding off a strong charge from Tufts (1801.5).
