ORLANDO, Fla. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 victory over Millsaps College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Camels won all seven matches that were played. The Majors forfeited matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to a shortage of players.
The tandems of
Evin Cosar (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and
Maya Kowalska (Feasterville-Trevose, Pa.) and
Sana Bhat (New Delhi) and
Marylove Reynolds (Little Rock, Ark.) both earned 6-1 victories to start off the match. Kowalska and Cosar went on to record straight set victories in singles at the Nos. 2 and 3 spots, respectively.
Conn's other three singles wins also came in straight sets.
Caitlin Cass (Newcastle, Maine) shut out her opponent at the top spot while
Lily Kerachsky (East Greenwich, R.I.) and
Tara Best (Carlisle, Mass.) both picked up their first singles wins of the season.
Conn (2-4 overall) will next play the University of Minnesota Duluth on Thursday, March 13 at 8:00 a.m.
