NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing team hosted the Southern New England Team Race and competed at the St. Mary's Women's Inter-Conference hosted by St. Mary's (Md.).
At the Southern NE Team Race, Conn finished 10th. The skippers for the Camels were William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.), Liam Gronda (Chevy Chase, Md.), Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.), Henry Scholz (Lake Forest, Ill.), and Jake Demos (South Kingston, R.I.). Rounding out the crews for Conn were Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.), Alejandro Amezcua (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.), Andrew Selian (Portsmouth, R.I.), Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.), Maddie Synnestvedt (Cohasset, Mass.), Sophia Rey (Newport, R.I.), Finley Regan (Bay Shore, N.Y.), and Griffin Stead (Vineyard Haven, Mass.).
At St. Mary's, Conn finished 13th, totaling 272 points across two racing boats. The A Division boat finished with 161 points, with Lily Safer (Rye, N.Y.), Natalie Fear (New York, N.Y.), Maddie Jarbeau (East Greenwich, R.I.), Cecilia Roe (New Rochelle, N.Y.), and June Roe (New Rochelle, N.Y.). The B Division boat finished with 111 points, and was sailed by Izzy Wu-Karr (Baltimore, Md.), Aurora Kreyche (Seattle, Wash.) and Cecilia Roe.
Conn returns to action next weekend, as both teams travel to Cambridge, Mass. to compete at MIT.
