NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 23 Bowdoin College on Sunday morning in NESCAC action inside Luce Field House.
The Polar Bears captured all nine matches on the day, improving to 1-0 on the young spring season.
Conn's top duo of
Evin Cosar (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and
Maya Kowalska (Feasterville-Trevose, Pa.) put up a fight at No. 1 doubles, winning four games before succumbing to the tandem of Cara Hung and Bella Hartung. In singles action, both
Caitlin Cass (Newcastle, Maine) and Cosar proved their mettle in defeat. Cass took Hung to a tiebreaker in the opening set at the No 1 spot, while Cosar won a combined seven games against Hartung at No. 4.
Conn (0-2 overall, 0-2 NESCAC) will next play at Bates College on Saturday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m.
