NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing team returned to action, competing at the Staake Trophy hosted by MIT.
Conn finished fifth, winning six out of 15 races. The skippers for the Camels were William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.), Liam Gronda (Chevy Chase, Md.), Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.), and Izzy Wu-Karr (Baltimore, Md.). Rounding out the crews were Alejandro Amezcua (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.), Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.), Andrew Selian (Portsmouth, R.I.), Aurora Kreyche (Seattle, Wash.), and Griffin Stead (Vineyard Haven, Mass.).
Conn returns to action next weekend, hosting a regatta at Kohn Waterfront and traveling to Brunswick, Maine for the Women's New England Team Qualifier.
