BENNINGTON, Vt. – The No. 59 Connecticut College women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat against No. 20 Williams College on Saturday morning at the Bennington Tennis Center.
Conn's lone point came from
Maya Kowalska (Feasterville-Trevose, Pa.) at the No. 3 singles spot, where she lost the opening set to Mia Roets but rebounded for a 7-5 win in the second. The two then played a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a third set, with Kowalska coming out on top by a 10-6 final to earn her team-leading fourth NESCAC victory of the season.
Williams won the other five singles matches in straight sets. The Ephs also swept doubles play by 6-1 tallies across the board.
Conn (5-8 overall, 1-5 NESCAC) will next play at Middlebury College on Sunday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m.
