Men's Tennis Tops Endicott 5-2

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The No. 52 Connecticut College men's tennis team picked up a 5-2 victory over Endicott College on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at the campus tennis courts.

The Camels won six of the nine matches on the day, starting with a pair of doubles victories to jump out to a 1-0 lead. Conn followed by taking four of six singles matches—all in straight sets—to secure the team win.

Both doubles victories came by 6-4 finals. Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) and Alexander Stevens (Hanover, N.H.) took care of business at the No. 2 spot while Colby Hall (Duxbury, Mass.) and James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) followed suit at No. 3.

In singles play, Serhant made quick work of Eric Scalici at No. 4 and dropped only one game en route to victory. Krishh Tipnis (Thane, India), playing his first singles match of the season, also cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Brennan Drolet at No. 6. Gavin Anderson (Avon, Conn.) and Sigmund Winiecki (Jaffrey, N.H.) also supplied wins at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, with neither surrendering more than three games in a set.

Conn (11-10 overall) will next host Hamilton College on Saturday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m.
