Sailing Finishes Fifth at Admiral's Cup

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Connecticut College sailing team closed out the regular season finishing fifth at the Admiral's Cup hosted by Merchant Marine.

The Camels recorded 176 points across two racing divisions, finishing just two points out of fourth place. 

The A Division boat scored 85 points, being skippered by William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.) and Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.), with Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.), Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.), and Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.) rounding out the crew. 

The B Division boat recorded 91 points, with Izzy Wu-Karr (Baltimore, Md.) and Duncan Craine (Weston, Conn.) splitting the skipper duties, and Alejandro Amezcua (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and Andrew Selian (Portsmouth, R.I.) rounding out the crew.

Conn will wait for the Open and Women's Fleet Race selection announcement on Tuesday to see if they will make the National Championships.
