NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback against No. 4 Wesleyan University on Sunday afternoon at Luce Field House.
Conn's lone point came from
Lily Kerachsky (East Greenwich, R.I.) at the No. 5 spot against Alexandra Burnett. After taking the opening set in a tiebreaker, Kerachsky bounced back after dropping the second set to win a 10-point tiebreaker by a 10-8 tally. The win was her second of the weekend in NESCAC play.
Wesleyan won the other five singles matches in straight sets. The Cardinals also swept doubles play by 6-2 finals across the board.
Conn (5-7 overall, 1-4 NESCAC) will next play at Williams College on Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m.
