Coed Sailing Wraps up Season at ICSA Nationals

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Connecticut College coed sailing team wrapped up the 2024-25 season, finishing 35th at the ICSA Open National Championships hosted by St. Mary's (Md.).

The championship consisted of 10 races across each of the two boat divisions. Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.) skippered the A Division boat for the first six races, joined by Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) in the crew. William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.) skippered the boat for the final four races, with Aurora Kreyche (Seattle, Wash.) joining the crew. The A boat finished with 153 points, highlighted by a 10th place finish in the first race.

Izzy Wu-Karr (Baltimore, Md.) skippered the B Division boat for nine of the 10 races, while Duncan Craine (Weston, Conn.) was the skipper for the other race. Coco Carragher (New York, N.Y.) joined the crew for the first four races, while Liam Gronda (Chevy Chase, Md.) was in the boat for the final six races. The B boat finished with 149 points, highlighted by a 10th place finish in the seventh race.

The Camels will return a strong contingency of starters and supporting role players next season in their quest to get back to the national championship event.
