NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing teams returned to action competing at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championships Round 1A hosted by St. Mary's (Md.) and the Moody Trophy hosted by Rhode Island.
At the Women's ACC Championships, Conn finished 12th out of 17 teams with 188 points across two racing divisions. The A division boat tallied 109 points, with Lily Saffer (Rye, N.Y.), Natalie Fear (New York, N.Y.), Maddie Jarbeau (East Greenwich, R.I.), and Alex Daigle (East Falmouth, Maine) combining to race in the boat. In the B division boat Julia Scipione (Hingham, Mass.) and Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) teamed up to finish seventh, highlighted by a second place finish in race six.
At the Moody Trophy, Conn finished 14th out of 18 teams with 169 points across two racing divisions. Duncan Craine (Weston, Conn.), Rory Murray (Nantucket, Mass.), and Sienna Young (Westport, Conn.) teamed up in the A division boat, recording 96 points. The B division boat finished ninth with 73 points, as Keegan Chatburn (Lake Forest, Ill.) and Sophia Rey (Newport, R.I.) teamed up to race.
Conn returns to action next weekend, competing at Yale and hosting the Stu Nelson on Kohn Waterfront.
