Sailing Opens Fall Slate at Harry Anderson and Pine Trophies

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing teams kicked off the 2025-26 season, finishing seventh at the Pine Trophy and 16th at the Harry Anderson Trophy.

At the Pine Trophy hosted by Coast Guard, the Camels finished seventh on the weekend, highlighted by a third place finish in race eight. The Camels boat was skippered by Maxwell Connor (Darien, Conn.), with Keegan Chatburn (Lake Forest, Ill.), Charlotte McDonald (Portland, Maine), and Jake Demos (South Kingston, R.I.) rounding out the crew.

At the Harry Anderson Trophy hosted by Yale, Conn finished 16th across two racing divisions. The A division boat finished 16th, with Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.) and Rory Murray (Nantucket, Mass.) splitting the skipper duties with Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) rounding out the crew. The B division boat finished 15th and was skippered by William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.), with Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.) and Sophia Rey (Newport, R.I.) rounding out the crew.

Conn returns to action next weekend, competing at Brown on Friday and Saturday, and at Harvard and MIT on Saturday.
