NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's swimming and diving team dropped a 198-98 decision to Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon at Lott Natatorium.
Competing for the first time in more than a month, the Camels posted victories in four individual events.
Morganne Young (Longwood, Fla.),
Kate Edison (Westford, Mass.),
Kailin Fuller (Bowdoinham, Maine) and
Rosemary Bonadies (Nashville, Tenn.) all supplied wins on the day.
Young secured the top time in the 100 back (1:00.86) and also finished third in the 100 fly (1:00.29). Edison took the top spot in the 200 fly (2:08.39) while Bonadies claimed victory in the 200 back (2:10.59). Fuller rounded out the group by winning the 50 free (25.18) by seven-hundredths of a second.
Chloe Frandsen (Germantown, Tenn.) posted strong results in the distance events, notching runner-up finishes in both the 1,000 free (10:55.21) and 500 free (5:24.20).
Campbell Baumgartner (Charlotte, N.C.) was Conn's top finisher in the 100 breast (1:11.20) and 200 IM (2:18.06), placing second and third, respectively.
Emma Lent (Acton, Mass.) also finished second in the 200 breast (2:32.57).
Conn will next host Williams College on Saturday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m.
