NEW LONDON, Conn. – Five Connecticut College men's swimmers have been selected to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on March 18-21 in Indianapolis, IN.
Junior
Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) and sophomore
Carrick Shea (Grafton, Mass.) will make their second straight NCAA appearances. Lyons qualified in the 1,650 freestyle while Shea qualified in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM.
Julian Carlson (Brookline, Mass.) also made the cut in the 200 breast, as did Conn's 800 free relay team of
Aiden Miller (Westfield, N.J.),
Campbell Noel (Austin, Texas), Shea and Lyons. Carlson, Miller and Noel will all make their NCAA debuts.
The Camels are coming off a strong weekend at the NESCAC Championships in which they finished fourth overall and recorded seven podium finishes. Lyons and Shea led the way with two wins and a runner-up finish apiece. Lyons won the 1,000 free and 1,650 free and finished second in the 400 IM, while Shea picked up victories in the 200 IM and 200 breast and a second in the 100 breast. Conn also broke the school record and finished second overall in the 800 free relay.
A total of 260 participants (236 swimmers and 24 divers) will compete in the men's championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the regional diving meets February 27-28.
The NCAA Championships will be held at the IU Natatorium. Tickets can be purchased in advance, and NCAA.com will video stream all sessions of the four-day championships.
