Sailing Races at Southern NE Team Race and St. Mary's Inter-Conference

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing teams returned to action, racing at the Southern New England Team Race and the St. Mary's Women's Inter-Conference.

At St. Mary's, Conn finished eighth out of 18 teams. The A division boat finished seventh, totaling 114 points, with Natalie Fear (New York, N.Y.) and Maddie Jarbeau (East Greenwich, R.I.) sailing. Julia Scipione (Hingham, Mass.) and Alex Daigle (East Falmouth, Mass.) combined to race in the B division boat, recording 102 points and also finishing seventh.

At the Southern New England Team Race, Conn finished seventh, winning two of seven races. William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.), Henry Scholz (Lake Forest, Ill.), and Skylor Sweet (Bear, Del.) skippered the three boats, while Tatem Gee (Burlingame, Calif.), Charlotte McDonald (Portland, Maine), Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.), and Sophia Rey (Newport, R.I.) rounded out the crews.

Conn returns to action next weekend, traveling to Boston University and the Coast Guard Academy.
