CLINTON, N.Y. — The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Hamilton College on Saturday morning inside the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
The Continentals swept the three doubles matches to grab an early 1-0 advantage. Hamilton then collected singles wins on courts 2-6 to improve to 10-6 overall (4-5 NESCAC).
Conn's lone point came at the top singles spot where
Maya Kowalska (Feasterville-Trevose, Pa.) cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Hannah Walpole. Kowalska picked up her fourth NESCAC win of the season and evened her singles record to 8-8 on the year.
Asahi Goods (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) and
Lily Kerachsky (East Greenwich, R.I.) battled hard at the No. 3 and 4 positions, respectively. Goods forced a deciding third set before succumbing to Grace Qian by a 4-6, 6-2, 4-6 final, while Kerachsky took five games off Samantha Rainero in their opening set.
Conn (7-10 overall, 2-7 NESCAC) will wrap up the season at Amherst College on Sunday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m.
