Box Score AMHERST, Mass. — The Connecticut College women's tennis team fell 7-0 in its season finale against No. 18 Amherst College on Sunday morning at the Amherst Tennis Courts.
The Mammoths swept through doubles play before capturing all six singles matches in straight sets. Amherst improved to 10-6 overall and 7-3 in league action.
Conn lost by 6-3 finals at both No. 2 and 3 doubles. In singles,
Mary Ella Prendergast (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) took four games off her opponent at the No. 2 spot to pace the Camels.
Conn finished the season with a 7-11 record and a 2-8 mark in NESCAC play. The Camels narrowly missed qualifying for the NESCAC Championship with a ninth-place finish in the regular season standings.
