NEW LONDON, Conn. — The Connecticut College women's tennis team fell by a 7-0 final against No. 20 Tufts University on Friday afternoon at the CC Tennis Courts.
The Jumbos captured all three doubles matches by 6-2 tallies and then completed the sweep with six straight-set wins in singles. Tufts improved to 9-2 on the season and 4-1 in league action.
Conn's
Maya Kowalska (Feasterville-Trevose, Pa.) and
Lily Kerachsky (East Greenwich, R.I.) put up good fights at the No. 1 and 4 spots, respectively. Kowalska took a combined seven games off Lucy Mitchell while Kerachsky won eight and nearly forced a third set against Nadia Khera.
Conn (4-7 overall, 0-4 NESCAC) will next host Trinity College on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m.
