NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing teams kicked off the new campaign racing at three regattas over the weekend, sailing at Coast Guard, MIT, and Yale.

At the Pine Trophy hosted by Coast Guard, Conn finished seventh out of nine teams across one racing division. The Camels tallied 56 points, finishing just four points behind Boston College for sixth place, as Wells Connor (Darien, Conn.), Jake Demos (South Kingston, R.I.), Ariel Belson (Harwich, Mass.), and Keegan Chatburn (Lake Forest, Ill.) did the racing.

At the Toni Duetsch Trophy hosted by MIT, Conn finished 11th out of 17 teams totaling 187 points across two racing divisions. The A division boat scored 93 points Julia Scipione (Hingham, Mass.) and Alex Daigle (East Falmouth, Mass.) combining for the racing. The B division boat recorded 94 points with Lily Saffer (Rye, N.Y.) and Grace Popp (Greenwich, Conn.) doing the racing.

Conn closed out the weekend racing at the Harry Anderson Trophy hosted by Yale, finishing eighth out of 17 teams, scoring 137 points across two racing divisions. Four Camels teamed up in the A division boat to record 86 points, as Henry Scholz (Lake Forest, Ill.), Rory Murray (Nantucket, Mass.), Vivian Smith (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.), and Madeline Synnestvedt (Cohasset, Mass.) did the racing, while William Hurd (West Dennis, Mass.) and Charlotte McDonald (Portland, Maine) teamed up to tally 51 points in the B division.

Conn returns to action next weekend as the Camels travel to Boston to race at MIT and the New England Singlehanded Championships hosted by Boston College.
