Makalynne Dyer enters her first season as assistant sailing coach at Connecticut College in 2024-25.
Dyer sailed for Old Dominion, as part of both the women's and open teams as a starting crew for fleet and team racing, while also being named a team captain. Following graduation, she spent three and a half years working in strength and conditioning with the Monarchs, beginning in 2020 as an intern before becoming a coach.
Additionally, Dyer spent the past two years as the assistant sailing coach at Christopher Newport University. In the spring of 2024, she also served as the associate head sailing coach at Norfolk Academy.
Dyer graduated from Old Dominion with a degree in Physical Education.
