Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory against Wesleyan University in a NESCAC match played at Luce Field House Saturday.
The Camels improved their record to 9-7 with a 4-2 mark in NESCAC play with their sixth consecutive victory. The Cardinals fell to 9-8 with a 1-6 mark in conference action.
The set scores were 25-17, 19-25, 25-13 and 25-20 in favor of the hosts.
Andy Mullaney (New Canaan, Conn.) buried 11 kills while adding four digs and three blocks to lead the hosts to the win. Alex McDevitt (Medfield, Mass.) chipped in with nine kills and eight digs for the Camels. Junior Caroline Martin (Palo Alto, Calif.) registered 17 digs and five kills for the winning side.
Cailyn Straubel (Dallas, Texas) contributed with 11 kills while Chloe Ainley (San Jose, Calif.) had 10.
Sophomore setter Emily Arterbury (Austin, Texas) dished out 21 assists while Katia Elisman (Lake Forest, Ill.) finished with 11 helpers in the victory.
Rookie outside hitter Tyla Taylor (Old Greenwich, Conn.) posted a double-double with 14 kills and 12 digs in the setback. Sarah Swenson (Woodstock, Conn.) finished with nine kills and eight digs in the loss. Rachel Savage (Portland, Ore.) collected 15 digs.
Senior setter Clair Larson (Chanhassen, Minn.) dished out 30 assists for the Cardinals.
