The rain picked up during the second half, but so did the intensity of both teams. The squads traded chances, forcing saves from both keepers, but neither side could find the opening marker.
With just over 14 minutes remaining,
Emma Quilty (Hingham, Mass.) just fired a shot from the near corner that fell in just under the crossbar, to give the Camels a 1-0 lead, as

Jamie Scarpantonio (Glastonbury, Conn.), who fired home to put Conn up 2-0 at 77:25.
The Camels held a slight edge in shots, outshooting the Wildcats 12-11 overall, and 7-6 on shots on target, while Johnson and Wales had a slim 5-4 advantage on corner kicks.
