Women's Soccer Falls on Senior Day to #14 Williams

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Connecticut College women's soccer team fell on senior day to visiting Williams 3-0 on Saturday afternoon from Freeman Field.

Williams started quickly jumping out to a lead just 12 and a half minutes in as Kianna Porter lofted a shot that snuck in at the back post. Just 40 seconds later, the Ephs doubled the advantage as Ansley Burns and Maya Lloyd connected on a corner for a goal.

Williams continued pushing, looking to extend the lead, but Yael Bugaev (Westborough, Mass.) answered with three saves, as the Ephs led 2-0 at the break.

Conn had an early chance to cut into the deficit, but Maddie Lynch's (Noank, Conn.) effort went hight. With 27 minutes remaining, Ella Gazo (Colchester, Vt.) had an effort that was stopped by Margaret Huelin.

Williams extended the lead to three off a goal from Lily Mark with 13 minutes remaining. The Camels had two more chances on goal, but both Gazo and Lucy Parker (Montclair, N.J.) were denied by Huelin, as Conn fell 3-0.
