DANVILLE, Va.—The Connecticut College women's tennis team coasted to a 9-0 victory in its season opener against Averett University Tuesday.
Charlotte Marcoux (Sudbury, Mass.) and Adrienne Sieverding (Red Hook, N.Y.) coasted to 6-0, 6-0 victories in their respective slots at first and second singles to lead the Camels past the Cougars.
Susanna Studwell (Tucson, Ariz.) chipped in with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at #3.
In doubles pairings, Sieverding joined forces with Aneeka Kalia (Southborough, Mass.) to win in convincing fashion at #1 doubles, 8-0.
Ellie Rudd (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Marcoux collected an 8-0 victory at second doubles.
In the third slot, senior Monica Rohrbach (Fort Worth, Texas) and Studwell posted an 8-0 victory for Head Coach Chris O'Brien's Camels.
