Box Score MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Middlebury College scored nine-straight first-half goals on its way to a 19-2 win over Connecticut College (1-2, 0-1) on a cold blustery Kohn Field.
The 10th-ranked Panthers (1-1, 1-1) dominated the game from start to finish.
Connecticut College senior Taylor Thomas (Needham, Mass.) scored her seventh goal of the season and 59th collegiate marker in the setback. Thomas also contributed with two draw controls. Hannah Donegan (Great Falls, Va.) netted her first goal of the season in the opening minute of regulation. She had two draws in the loss.
Maggie Hogan earned a team-high three ground balls for the Camels, Caroline Moore caused three turnovers. Meg Raskin made eight saves and allowed 16 goals in 47:20, while Megan Fahey made one stop with three goals allowed in 12:20 of action.
Bridget Instrum, Alli Sciarretta and Chrissy Ritter each scored three goals in the win for the Panthers.
Madeleine Kinker earned the win with a pair of saves in 46:16, while Alex Freeman played the game's last 13:44 in her collegiate debut.
Connecticut College will visit Williams Wednesday night for a 5:00 p.m. game in Williamstown, Mass.
