NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's tennis team cruised to a 7-2 NESCAC victory against Colby College in a match played on the South Tennis Courts Sunday.
The Camels closed out their season with a record of 9-12 and a 2-6 mark in conference play. The Mules finished up the 2015 season at 7-12 with a 0-7 record in the NESCAC.
Aleksandra Drljaca (East Greenwich, R.I.) cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 straight set victory at first singles for the winning side. Junior Charlotte Marcoux (Sudbury, Mass.) chipped in with a 6-1, 6-3 win at number two. At fourth singles, Angelica Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) earned a 7-5, 6-3 triumph for the hosts.
Susanna Studwell (Tucson, Ariz.) and Aneeka Kalia (Southborough, Mass.) posted wins for the hosts in their respective slots at #5 and #6 in the rotation.
Warren and Marcoux joined forces in an 8-4 win at second doubles. The sophomore duo comprised of Gibson Miller (Canton, Ohio) and Ellie Rudd (Minneapolis, Minn.) posted a 9-8 win at third doubles for the Camels.
Colby College freshman Maddie Lupone (New Canaan, Conn.) secured a 6-4, 6-4 win at third singles.
Senior Erica Talamo (Newton, Mass.) and junior Holly Bogo (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) gutted out an 8-5 win at number one doubles for the visiting Mules.
