NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's squash team dropped a 6-3 decision to Hamilton Saturday.
Head Coach Barry Ward was impressed with some strong individual results in the setback.
Senior tri-captain Niccolo Premutico (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted an 11-6, 11-9, 11-9 straight set victory playing at number five on the ladder. Junior tri-captain Matt Lillie (Weston, Mass.) won a 3-1 decision at number four: 11-4, 16-14, 10-12 and 11-9.
In the sixth slot on the ladder, senior Santiago Moran (pictured, Bronx, N.Y.) gutted out a five-set thriller posting 11-6, 11-5 wins before dropping 12-10 and 11-9 decision. In the deciding fifth set, Moran grinded out an 11-7 victory.
Ward also announced the addition of a match against Bryant University that will be played on Saturday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m.
