LEWISTON, Maine.--The Bates College women's tennis team took two of three doubles points to hold off Connecticut College in a 5-4 victory Sunday.
The Bobcats improved their record to 4-10 and are 1-4 in the NESCAC. The Camels fell to 10-6 with a 1-3 record in conference action.
Connecticut College senior Charlotte Marcoux (Sudbury, Mass.) and sophomore Aleksandra Drljaca (pictured, East Greenwich, R.I.) cruised to an 8-5 victory at number one doubles.
Marcoux chipped in with a 6-4, 7-5 victory at number three singles. Angelica Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) registered a 6-3, 6-3 win at fourth singles. At fifth singles, junior Susanna Studwell (Tucson, Ariz.) posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory for the Camels.
