NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's tennis team cruised to a 7-2 victory against Trinity College in Luce Field House Tuesday.

The Camels improved their record to 9-2 with their fifth straight win, while the Bantams fell to 3-4 with the setback.

Sophomore Aleksandra Drljaca (East Greenwich, R.I.) cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 straight set victory at number one singles to lead the Camels in the victory. Senior Charlotte Marcoux (Sudbury, Mass.) outlasted her opponent in a 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 triumph at third singles. Sophomore Angelica Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) coasted to a 6-3, 6-3 victory at fourth singles.

Junior Susanna Studwell (Tucson, Ariz.) earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at fifth singles for the Camels. Mariah Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) contributed with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at sixth singles for Connecticut College.

Angelica Warren and Emily Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) joined forces to take an 8-3 win at second doubles for the hosts.

Trinity College sophomore Vanja Babunski (Belgrade, Serbia) and first year Zoe Lindbloom (Wayzata, Minn.) secured an 8-3 victory at number one doubles for the visitors.

Lindbloom secured a 6-4, 6-4 victory at number two singles for the Bantams.

Trinity will look to get back on track when they visit Tufts University Saturday for an 11:00 a.m. NESCAC match up in Medford, Mass.

The Camels will host Babson College this Friday for a 3:30 p.m. match in New London.
