MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--Junior Eudice Chong (Sai Kung, Hong Kong) posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number one singles to lead the sixth ranked Wesleyan University women's tennis team in a 9-0 blanking of Connecticut College Thursday.
The Cardinals improved their record to 9-2 and are 3-2 in the NESCAC. The Camels fell to 6-7 and are 0-5 in conference action.
Connecticut College juniors Aleksandra Drljaca (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Angelic Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) kept it close in an 8-5 loss to Helen Klass-Warch and Nicole McCann at second doubles. In the third doubles match up, sophomore Brinley Bartlett (Malvern, Pa.) and senior Adrienne Sieverding (Red Hook, N.Y.) fell in an 8-6 decision at third doubles for Connecticut College.
