NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College senior Adrienne Sieverding (Red Hook, N.Y.) coasted to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at fourth singles while classmate Susanna Studwell (Tucson, Ariz.) took care of business at number six with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 straight set win to lead the Camels to an 8-1 victory against Ithaca College in the final match of the 2016-17 season played in the Whaling City today.

The Camels evened their record at 8-8 with their second straight win. This marks the second straight season that Head Coach Chris O'Brien's Camels have finished .500 or better in the standings. The Bombers fell to 13-7 with the setback. 

Sieverding, Studwell and Camel captain Jillian Brigandi (Harrington Park, N.J.) were all honored in a pre-season ceremony as they made their final appearance on the South Tennis Courts here in Camel Country.

Junior Aleksandra Drljaca (East Greenwich, R.I.) gutted out a victory at number one singles for the hosts, closing out her foe with a 10-3 triumph in the super tie-breaker. Sophomore Emily Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) dominated in a 6-0, 6-1 victory at second singles. Junior Angelica Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) checked in with a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles for the winning side. 

In second doubles action, Drljaca and Warren joined forces to take an 8-4 decision for the Camels. Sophomore Brinley Bartlett (Malvern, Pa.), a 2017 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sport Scholar, paired up with Sieverding to pull out an 8-1 victory at third doubles.

Ithaca College senior Haley Kusak (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Caroline Dunn (Fall River, Mass.) salvaged a point for the visitors with their 8-6 win at first doubles.
